Autodesk software products are a great start, but what allows them to work best is their add-ins. Add-ins get you efficiency and functionality for your workflow. We’ve outlined five of the best Revit FREE add-ins to increase and ease productivity.
This add-in by Coins allows you to create cropped 3D sections based on object selection. You can create temporary or permanent views to see information in your model. You may view that section in an isolated viewport, and can also toggle to see how it works in the context of the whole model. It works with linked files.
This add-in allows users to customize and save window configurations to better serve your workflow. All open windows can be arranged by a scheme and choose how much space you want to allocate to a particular window.
This is a great tool for breaking down your model by filters, selects and colors elements based on parameter information. It allows you to graphically visualize the information in the model as well as catch inconsistencies. You can also color cut patterns and MEP categories.
This app works with Cesium, Google Earth, and Google Maps to help users design “in context” by enabling the import of surfaces and 3D buildings into your Revit modeling session and vice versa. You can also get information about a building layer from Cesium or Google.
